Shipping agreements may be entered into over the phone, by completing the shipping
order form and faxing it into our office, or by filling in the shipping order form
and emailing to our office. By any method, shipper (or agent) is representing
to Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. that shipper (or agent) has authorization to make
shipping arrangements for this vehicle. By submitting an order online, fax
or email, Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. understands shipper (or agent) is placing
an order and accepts the Terms and Conditions found here and on Cascade Vehicle
Shipping, Inc.’s web site.
The normal pickup timeframe is 1 to 10 business days. Pickup and delivery
dates are contingent upon carrier availability and season. All dates and times
given are an approximation. We cannot guarantee exact dates or times of when
the vehicle will be picked up or delivered. Carriers may be subject
to delays. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will not be held responsible for
any expense related to a delay (car rental fees, storage fees, accommodation fees,
etc.)
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. does not guarantee transport by any specific driver,
carrier, or along any specific route.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will arrange for door-to-door transport of the vehicle.
We will never use terminal facilities to store the vehicle while waiting for a carrier
to pick it up. There are times when carriers are unable to drive to a specific
pickup or delivery location. It is the responsibility of the carrier and shipper
(or agent) to make arrangements to meet at an alternative location.
Deposit information is collected at the time a carrier has been assigned.
The deposit may be paid via PayPal, credit card, bank wire or electronic check.
There is a 3% transaction fee applied to PayPal and credit card transactions.
There is no fee for electronic checks. Although deposit information is collected
at the time a carrier is assigned, the deposit will not be collected until it has
been verified that the vehicle has been loaded onto the transport vehicle and is
in route to the designated delivery location.
Payment to the carrier is due upon delivery. Unless other arrangements have
been made ahead of time, payment will be made with cash, cashier’s check or
money order. Should delivery be attempted after proper notification (2 to
24 hours in advance to phone number provided) and the shipper (or agent) is 1) unavailable
to receive delivery, 2) does not have the proper funds, or 3) refuses delivery of
the vehicle, carrier will transport the vehicle to a nearby storage facility until
the matter can be resolved. Shipper (or agent) will be responsible for any
accumulated storage fees, redelivery fees, etc.
Offshore shipments (Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, etc.) require
payment in full at the time the shipping order form is submitted. Offshore
payments can be made by the same methods as deposits listed above.
Due to changing and unpredictable market conditions, seasonal weather, traffic,
mechanical difficulties and fluctuating gas prices, Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc.
quotes are valid for 10 days. After 10 days, please call for an updated rate.
This shipping agreement is subject to all of the Terms and Conditions of the carrier’s
Bill of Lading and are incorporated herein.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. agrees to have the vehicle(s) described in the shipping
agreement transported on or about the dates requested. Cascade Vehicle Shipping,
Inc. will assign a reliable carrier (agent) to fulfill the terms and conditions
of this agreement.
The carrier’s responsibility begins when the shipper (or agent) signs the
Bill of Lading at the time of pickup and terminates when the shipper (or agent)
signs the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. Cascade Vehicle Shipping,
Inc. must be notified should the shipper (or agent) be unavailable for pickup or
delivery, or if either the pickup or delivery locations change, with sufficient
time to notify the carrier. If a carrier is sent out and the vehicle is not
available for pickup, Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. reserves the right to charge
a $100 rescheduling fee.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. hereby notifies shipper (or agent) that vehicles
will be driven on and off the transporter, or to and from the transporter at the
designated pickup and delivery locations, as needed to facilitate the transport
of the vehicle.
A $150 “In-Op” fee will be applied to vehicles that are non-operational
and do not require more than a standard wench to load on and off the transport vehicle.
This fee is included in the quoted price when the shipper (or agent) has indicated
this in the request for a quote. If the vehicle becomes non-operational at
any time from the time of pickup, or it was not known at the time the quote was
given, an “In-Op” fee will be applied and payable to the carrier at
the time of delivery.
Non-operational vehicles may require different equipment to load and offload the
transport vehicle. It is the shipper’s (or agent’s) responsibility
to notify Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. and the carrier of what makes the car non-operational.
Vehicles requiring more than a standard wench to load or offload the vehicle will
be subject to additional fees as determined by the carrier. These fees are
payable to the carrier at the time of delivery. Please ask your carrier to
provide documentation of these additional fees.
Please notify Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. at the time of requesting a quote of
the correct vehicle type (car, SUV, truck, van, etc) and whether there is anything
non-stock about the vehicle (lifts, oversized tires, etc.) Vehicle type and
alternations may affect the quoted price.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is an agent for you. We arrange for the transportation
of the vehicle by finding an appropriate carrier. We do not own trucks or
physically transport the vehicle. Our services end when the carrier is assigned
and contacts you regarding pickup and delivery of the vehicle.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. and the carrier are not responsible for the transport
of personal items in the vehicle. Federal law prohibits Cascade Vehicle Shipping,
Inc. or the carrier from doing so. Shippers (or agents) who transport personal
items in the vehicle do so at their own risk. Please check with your private
insurance to determine if coverage exists.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will not be responsible for demurrage at any port
facility.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. nor the carrier will be held responsible for vandalism,
acts of God (fire, flooding, hail, sand storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.) or
objects flying from the road or sky during transport. Shippers (or agents)
should maintain their own insurance for these reasons.
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will perform due diligence to insure carriers are
fully insured. Carriers are responsible for the vehicle while the vehicle
is in their possession. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is not responsible
for any damage done to the vehicle while in the carrier’s possession.
There should be an inspection performed by the carrier at both the time of pickup
and delivery and a Bill of Lading completed. Shipper (or agent) should inspect
the vehicle carefully with the carrier at both the time of pickup and delivery.
Shipper (or agent) is responsible for proper preparation of the vehicle for transport.
All loose parts, fragile or protruding accessories, low hanging spoilers, fog lights,
antennas, etc. must be removed and/or properly secured. Any part that
falls off in transit is shipper’s (agent’s) responsibility, including
damages done by said part to any and all vehicles involved.
If damage to the vehicle should occur, all money owed for the transport must be
paid to the carrier to initiate a claim. Damage must be properly noted on
the Bill of Lading and signed by both the carrier and shipper (or agent).
Without proper notation of damage on the carrier’s Bill of Lading, shipper
(or agent) verifies that the vehicle was received in good condition. Cascade
Vehicle Shipping, Inc. must be notified by phone within 24 hours of delivery of
the damage. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will support shipper (or agent)
in filing insurance claims. Claims are to be filed directly with the carrier’s
insurance. If the vehicle is valued at a higher than market rate, we suggest
you purchase a special insurance rider.
This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington
and subject to the jurisdiction of Clark County, Vancouver, Washington. Shipper
(or agent) specifically waives any right to jurisdiction of this matter at any other
location. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is only liable for up to the amount
of the deposit paid.
Please read carefully and print out a copy for your records.
We thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
